Some images are the result of hours of patience and preparation, whilst others come from a chance encounter that produces a brief yet exciting photo shoot. This section of the website gives me the chance to describe a little more of the work that goes into capturing the images.

I am always looking for new locations and good photo opportunites. If you have any suggestions for good locations to photograph certain species, I would happy to hear from you. In return I would be happy to donate a couple of prints.

Below are just some of the species I am currently looking to increase coverage of:

Waders - curlew, lapwing, redshank; kingfisher; barn Owl, kestrel, short eared owl; swallow, house martin

Small mammals - stoat, weasel, water vole

Plants - sundew, lily of the valley, marsh orchid, early purple orchid
